Taking advantage of yet another neglected cookbook, here are Banana Oatmeal Cookies from The Shoshoni Cookbook. They are very flexible bendy cookies that really remind me of banana bread. That said, they are pretty good, though not as sweet as regular cookies. I'm toying around w/ putting on some glaze. I subbed "just like honey rice nectar" for the honey in the recipe. Oh yeah, I burned the 2nd sheet of cookies. yeah, my bad. Hopefully this isn't becoming a trend. I'm still eating them.
Can you tell which one was burned?

Hi Bethany,
Sorry to hear that you burned some of your cookies, I hate when that happens.
On the plus side, that is a super cute picture of your cat!
I was trying to multitask in the kitchen. always leads to some burning. At least it wasn't setting off the smoke detector level of burning.
DAMN burnt Cookies!!
I bet they had a lovely Caramelly flavour though didn't they!!
And Chippy's a booty.
How many cats do you have???
That cookie isn't burnt, it's just a big plate of yin yang cookies! :P
Your cat is adorable!! Thank you so much for all the incredibly sweet comments you left on my blog! The coconut hair on the finger dogs idea is genius! And I loved your chocolate factory story! :)
Jeni - The burnt ones didn't taste too bad. 6 cats, 1 dog, another dog that is being fostered, and a cat that went to VT to live with my brother. All rescued except peepa and the judge. For the most part they get along...
River - the chocolate factory days were really fun. If I can get it in gear, I'm going to make a cool cake for halloween. I still haven't heard if my friend is having a halloween party yet. If so, I'm going to help w/ that.
I absolutely adore your kitty pictures! Of course, all your food is wonderous too.
awww what a cute kitty :D
