Woohoohoo Obama, a scramble and smiley cheeze casserole

A huge sigh of relief and major excitement about Obama! Since the debates, I knew he was going to win, but now that it's a done deal, it's the best feeling.

Last night I made a tofu scramble from Vegan with a Vengeance. I added in a lot of zucchini and red peppers. I fried up the leftover mashed potatoes and made toast. A pretty good dinner. You can even see the steam from the scramble.

Tonight I'm taking another class, so I made Andy a mac and cheeze casserole using cheddar Teese. Teese sure smells gross, much better when it's been cooked. I made a basic roux. Added in fried mushrooms, garlic and onions. Then added in nutritional yeast, mustard and peas. Topped it with bread crumbs and these cute cheezy crackers. He never reads this at work, so it will be a surprise. Though probably not because I told him last night that I might make one. Though he won't guess that I didn't suck down the extra pasta and instead I made him a "pasta bucket" to take to work tomorrow. "Pasta bucket" is his lovely name for pasta with some sort of sauce in tupperware.

This pic of the Judge reminds me of mac 'n cheeze because it looks like a big fluffy pile of greasy cheeze. I call any blanket or bed that keeps those cats off of me a worm babysitter. This one is particularly successful.
BAD CAT NEWS FLASH: Chippy was sitting on the coffee table and he just puked off it onto my hat. Gotta love those cats. Still doesn't beat the time Kitten puked into a bag that had my all my bills in it. I wonder what the people at the receiving end of those bills thought..

Once, one of my students, attempting to prove that he had actually done his spelling homework, brought it inside a ziploc so I could see it.... covered in cat puke.... I gave him the credit and pitched it right in the garbage!!!

So funny :o)
Cats are professionals when it comes to seeking out the most inappropriate time and place to hurl!

What is it with cats needing to puke ON something? I have wood and tile floors, and I swear the cats will walk around until they find something on the floor to puke on... be it a book, shoe, purse, throw rug. They are gross (but still soooo cute!)

same w/ mine. they could puke on the wood floors, but no...

I had a planter shelf on the wall and they basically took it over. then they actually puked down the wall.

Oh cats and puke. With three in my apartment, I feel like I do more than my fair share of cleaning! Great celebration food!

I love it... why don't I ever put crackers on my pasta buckets...way more friendly!! And I'm glad we're not the only ones that have pets that puke in weird places... my little scooter is continually picking miniscule items off the carpet that no one else can see and chowing down... no wonder he pukes 2-3 times a week...at least now he let's us hold him over the trashcan/toilet... and yes that looks as ridiculous as it sounds...
