Over the past few months, I've made some delicious Isa/Terry recipes.

bean balls. I'm probably the last person to try this recipe. They were really good, but a bit mushy. I think some breadcrumbs or something like that would fix that.

Pumpkin French Toast. This was the first time making this recipe and it was good. I put in lots less clove than called for and didn't soak the bread that long. Also, it wasn't a crusty husk like called for. Perfection. The second time, I followed the recipe exactly and it was too clovey and the batter (?) didn't soak evenly. So lesson is that I need to not follow recipes so closely :)

Welcome to my closet of boxes. This was the one door that I thought I could safely open w/out cats being able to squeeze into. That was the case for the past 5+ years. Chippy decided that was long enough.

PS. Hillside Quickies is opening a new restaurant, Plum. I can hardly wait.

Everything looks really good to me, but I'm super stuffed, having just gotten home from a fantastic vegan meet-up dinner, so it's a little hard to be excited by food. If I ever eat again, I'd like to try that pumpkin french toast.
A new Quickie's? Where?
Yum, I'm loving Vegan Brunch at the moment. So far my faves are banana flapjacks, broccoli quiche and the omelet - yum.
Nope, you're not last! I haven't made the beanballs yet either! I'm lazy and making balls out of food seems....like it takes too long or something :P They look good though, I think I need to get off my bottom and make them!
And I REALLY need to make some of that Apricot BBQ Sauce!!! I've only just recently discovered the deliciousness of making your own!
I've not tried the Beanballs either! Those look delicious - it all does.
Your closet must be cat paradise! Chippy looks like he's in box heaven!
:)
I've made those beanballs too and also thought they were a little mushy! They're good though so I let it slide.
I just bought vegan brunch, there's so many great looking recipes in it, I can't wait to dig in.
What is it with cats and boxes? Some weird attraction thing going on there.
A new Quickie? Do tell. I'd love to hear more about this!!
(Love the closet kitty, we have a closet like that too... so far no kitties... so far...)
